CLR Peterson fell in love with Renaissance history during a semester in Italy. She has pursued that passion ever since.
The Renaissance and Reformation period was her mental world for years as she earned her PhD in History at Stanford University. Under her mentor, Lewis W. Spitz, her understanding and appreciation of the Reformation grew to rival her passion for the Renaissance.
She has continued to expand her knowledge of the Renaissance/Reformation era as she researched and wrote her forthcoming historical novel, Lucia’s Renaissance. (When Martin Luther’s writings ignite a young girl’s faith, she must choose—abandon her beliefs or risk her life in the turbulent world of late Renaissance Italy.)
She belongs to two small critique groups, as well as the Historical Novel Society’s Northern California chapter, and the ACFW Golden Gate chapter.
